As geographical indication we understand the denomination for origin and geographical direction.

The denomination for origin is the denomination of the country, region or specific area of this country, used for designating a good which originates there and which qualities or characteristics depend predominantly to the geographical area, including natural and human factors.

The geographical direction is a denomination of the country, region or determined area of this country, used for designating of good which originates there and has the quality, fame or other characteristic which may be connected with this origin.

The registered geographical indications may not turn to family denominations while having a legal protection.
